Vege highways

Went up country to friends for tea tonight and almost managed to capture a hawk who had found some roadkill to savour. I pulled over about 15m away from him - he looked up then continued to enjoy his feast.

I had just about got my camera ready to shoot him via the open window when he sensed me and took off........darn!!!

I put the camera away then pulled off again only to have another hawk who had been even closer to me - and whom I hadn't noticed! - get spooked and fly off.

Double darn!!

So these vege rows are my near-miss hawk shot. (Reading this back I'm beginning to feel like my hawk stories are a bit like the fisherman's one-that-got-away stories!)
