Backyard Sunset

This is the time of year I am planning for autumn photo trips. I'm making a list of weekend destinations with anticipation of fall colors and crimson skies. Sometimes we don't have to go far for the colors we enjoy.

I came home this evening and once again I didn't have to travel far to find something that seemed worthy to share. Today the temperature in San Jose went over 100 degrees F (38 degrees C). However, unusual for this area, a high cloud cover drifted over and when the sun set, it was like someone lit a fire to the sky.
