Long Time Gone

A Relic of a time when we relied upon Coal Slurry for some of our energy needs, this site has sat unused since 2000, but come 2011 this will be no more, as the station is marked for demolition and work has already started on that process, which has been captured here.

Methil Power Station also has a claim to fame, via a Jack Vettriano painting called "Long Time Gone" a scene, soon to be remembered as a painting rather then a real memory for those that can.
