the face of grace

finally got off a fairly decent snap of gracie. although she is almost upon me here with her usual inquisitiveness... never wanting to stay still once i've got the camera out even though i'm talking to her, almost begging for her to remain in one spot so i can click off something half-way okay. haha.... even in her older years now and being sick, she wants to explore everything.

poor thing... after being diagnosed with her thyroid tumors and beginning medication, she developed a rather nasty reaction to it much like humans probably react to chemo... so gracie - and i - are currently on a bit of a break until she calms down from that sickness. i can so relate to how mom's must feel as grace is my baby and has been for over 15 years.... that's a long time.

now she's back to finding comfort in wrapping herself around my head to sleep at night, licking my cheek and chewing my hair... and i'm finding comfort in hearing her purr deep in her throat and belly... ahhhh - wouldn't have it any other way.
