Just Hangin' Around

The state prison that was located in my town for 160 years was the site of many executions. Electricity was not used for capitol punishment until the last 40 or so and before that it was always done as a hanging.
The former prison now has tours of the entire complex and one of the highlights of that tour is the surprise and shock experienced by people with the sudden and unexpected crash of the trap doors opening and the "body" of Ole' Joe dropping through. After the initial scare people quickly realize that it's just a dummy and the giggles begin.
