Bare tree

My craft class was cancelled this morning, so I took advantage of the beautiful weather and gave my dog,Heidi, and myself, a treat. We spent an hour walking through a newly planted forest, country lanes and open fields...so many things to photograph, but which one to blip?
With help from my artistic director, (aka Chris, my son), I have plumped for this tree, which looked so bare not only because of the lack of foliage, but also because of the colour of the bark. Had it been a bit darker, I think it would look slightly spooky!
