East River, NY

went to governor's island with my mom for the vendy awards! basically a 5 hour pig-out on some of the best food truck grub the city has to offer. it turned out to be a great day. the weather was perfect and my belly was impossibly full!

on the ferry over i snapped this pic. it's hard to believe, but i don't think i've ever seen the city from this angle - not that i can remember at least. it's still surreal to see the skyline as it is now, so nondescript. as you get closer you can even see the open space on the left where the towers once were.
