Hesperantha coccinea

We came across this fine specimen of Hesperantha coccinea (syn. Schizostylis coccinea) this afternoon on a visit to Kildrummy Castle Gardens.

I had no idea until I looked it up on the Web just now that its botanical name had been altered. I guess most people still think of it as 'Schizostylis'.

The bright red colour makes this an interesting companion piece to the photos I uploaded of Crosslett on Friday, and of Dean's Shortbread Factory in Huntly some 2-3 weeks ago.
