Thrift

The Sea Pinks are one of my favourite wild flowers and I'm amazed how long they last after losing their colour. This clump were taken at more or less the same spot as those of 5 July.
They get a hammering from the salty wind but hang in there for quite some time.

Taken with a 300mm lens which I think gives quite a good result.
