The small island where my parents have their summer cottage is just big enough for one hare, so the remais of this roe deer must have floated there from the mainland. Maybe it drowned trying to swim to some island, or crossing a river. I found the legs and some skin and bones from the torso, but no head. Maybe one of the cottages has a new hunting trophy above the fireplace.
