When Push Comes To Shove..

We have been eagerly anticipating our visit to Sumo since before we left for Japan and were lucky enough to book tickets for the finals of the tournament today. We arrived lunchtime but the real action began at about 15:30 when the champions turned up for the deciding matches.

It was a humbling and wonderful experience saturated with ancient traditions and ritual. Interestingly enough there were a couple of European contestants!
In the end however, the gigantic trophy was carried off by Hakuho, who had won all 15 consecutive matches in the tournament with no losses.

I decided against a naked streak across the centre ring, despite how amazing a blip it would have been for Ruby as I don't particularly want to be sat on.
