Annie's In Oregon

Lady Fiona

I had the good pleasure of meeting Fiona, a wonderful and loving Irish Wolf Hound, at the "Mutt Strutt" at Mingus Park today. Her gracious companion and food source, Karen, shared with us the important role Fiona's ancestors played in history. A very regal lady, Fiona demonstrated how her ancestors could lounge by a hearth to the delight of their companions.

In excess of 170 lbs, Fiona does attempt to make good use of laps regardless of her size. She doesn't like to be left out of anything and is persistent until she wins the prize of being near her humans.

The leading competitor for tonight's blip, was a shot of a shadow play we saw at the Sprague Theater tonight, called "Helen and Anne: Through Their Eyes". It was very creatively executed and stirred memories of my role as Annie Sullivan in the Miracle Worker years ago. Before playing the role, I read many articles and stories about Anne and Helen. Very compelling. Tonight's show was a benefit for the Lion's Club and the only disappointment was the low attendance. One last show tomorrow at 2:00pm. I hope they bring in a crowd.

A full and satisfying day, I must say!
