Jess

Today I had a portrait photographer's field day as a parade of over thirty women came through the house, ate cake and sat patiently as we filmed them turning on a revolving chair for our new video 'Wife'. This was part of a dastardly plot on my part (hatched in Bonn last year) to fulfil a long-term ambition to take a series of portraits of women.
I found it very hard to choose this shot as I took many, many photos today, but this portrait of Jess had a kind of quiet honesty that I really love. Not surprisingly the hardest part of the day was being in front of the camera rather than behind it, as I also need to be in the video...not fun! I'm so much happier taking the photos...
