The bird walk

Spoiled for choice for Blip today. I choose the ducks, because I think they look cute toddling down the path in front of me. First they came up to me and I thought I was getting lucky. As soon as I crouched down and got the camera ready, they must have smelled the lack of bread and they turned around and took off.

My boys and I did the bird walk around the corner. This takes us about an hour. We had a spit of rain, some drizzle and plenty of sunshine, all within the hour. It was the first time that I thought it would be nice to have a better camera. Mine is very basic and I like that. But walking passed the wet lands full of birds doing that thing birds do, I would have liked to zoom in some more and take some photos of those gorgeous colours they parade around. I personally love Pukekos. Just love to come close enough to take a great shot. But, the ducks didn't like me much and I have no idea how to get Pukekos closer. I watched one this afternoon, picking away in the shallow water, and everytime he bend down his (her?) little tail would wip up, so cute.

Well, they promise an even better day tomorrow, so once I am out of bed (an hour later on the clock, regardless of the time I get into bed!), I'll see what tomorrow brings
