Crosslett, Inverurie

Just along the Market Place from the cow that featured in yesterday's blip, stands a row of 18th Century Listed Buildings named Crosslett Court.

Next to these, there stands another house named simply Crosslett, with this shield on the front gate, which does indeed feature the heraldic device of
Crosslets ('little crosses').

Could anyone further enlighten me perhaps on the significance of all this?
