Home and Away

Bagface

Went to IKEA today to get a few things to jolly up the winter rental.

Spent £563.

Christmas is just around the corner. It's November so I can mention the word. Overseas nieces need to be gifted so shopping must begin. And it would be wise to start putting away little tiddly things for stockings, too.

But right now the house is strewn with Ikea stuff. All of it sensible and justifiable, I assure you.

Deck the halls and make them messy;
Tis the season to be stressy,
Fa la la la la, la la la laaaa

Suddenly all the focus seems to be on money and spending, which I hate. It isn't just Christmas, either. New autumn clothes are in all the shops, and autumn clothes are the best by far. The winter wardrobe is calling.

Unfortunately, the overdraft isn't returning its calls.

Happy bonfire night.
