Stones In Water

*Spirit Week at Loren's school----today was 'Stereotype' Day----only Loren thought it was Hula Day (that's tomorrow). We noticed that when I saw the boy that I take to school in hippee clothes upon arriving to pick him up! So I ran my boys and Mayur right back to our house to do a quick clothing change!!! Luckily I found Loren's hippee clothes from last year in the costume tote (only they were a Size 12 jeans and now he's a Size 16). He sucked in his gut and put them on and they were high-waters. He went as a high-waters hippee. They arrived to school with only 1 minute to spare.

*Today Loren also had a Book Report Presentation on the historical fiction book that he read 'Stones in Water'. He has now read it twice. THIS IS MY BLIP PHOTO OF THE DAY. His Science Fiction Narrative Rough Draft was due today as well as a second book report and the 3-D Model Project of the earth. I know he is looking forward to the 2 week fall break coming up!!!! Checked on his online Powerschool Progress reports and he has received straight As so far this 1st quarter of middle school!

*Liam and Landon had their first late slips of the year due to having to run Loren back home and change. Oops! :(

*Got an e-mail from Landon's teacher that he talked to a speech teacher and the delay in some sounds is completely developmental and he will improve with age. She is sending home a speech packet to work with him on during fall break.

*Got another e-mail from his teacher today saying he will receive an award at Town Hall tomorrow and could I be there to see it. He doesn't know he's receiving it. Yay!!!!!!

*Spent 3 hours at the car place getting my van serviced. Walked across the street to a park downtown to try and wait for my van....afraid I was going to get mugged at this park...so walked back and sat back in the 'waiting room' for another hour!

*Landon to soccer at 5:30

*Liam to gymnastics at 5:30
