oven

This picture is taken at an old brick factory in Wirdum(nl). Tichelwerk Rusthoven" The factory was founded in 1804 where they made flat floor tiles. In 1924 they modernised with extra dry barns and a so called ,round kiln, ( from the 148 there are only 9 left in the Netherland). In 1965 the owner decided to close the factory, there was no money for a modernization investment. Till 1975, 2 employees stayed for selling the bricks,the machines and did the maintenance of the buildings, the owner sold the factory on an auction.They had a plan for a brick museum but it never realized.Since then is nature taken over.
On the picture a small oven in front of the chimney on top of the roun kiln.The purpose of it is unknown for me
