Wet and windy

Rather wet and windy this evening therefore I had an interesting time trying to photograph one of my favourite flowers the delicate Fuchsia.

Fuchsias, were first described in 1703 by the botanist Charles Plumier, but were actually named after the 16th century German botanist Leonhart Fuchs (137yrs after his death). These delicate plants come in more than 8,000 varieties with different colored blooms including red, purple and pink. This particular fuchsia seems to be hardy as it has survived last years dreadful winter in Aberdeen.
