Vendange again
A long afternoon in the vineyards picking the Grenache grapes before it rains tomorrow. I took a lot of photos, because I want to make some sort of record of this new venture our friends are starting, with their first wine, but I discovered it's quite difficult to show people actually picking grapes once they are between the rows because they're hidden and so are the grapes. This shot shows the village church tower in the background, rows of vines in other vineyards and the mountains in the distance.
Afterwards we went back to the cave to see the grapes being separated from their stalks and put into the vats to ferment. It felt very exciting to be there at the beginning of this wine.
