Matthew Name-day cake

On the photo is Name-day Cake, my dear mother baked.
Name "Matus" - "Matthew" is in Slovak's calendar on 21st september 2010, it means today.

I want to tell you a short story about my name.
Since my childhood, everybody's calling me Steve, even if I'm Matus. When I was going to be born, Father wanted me to be called Matus, and mother wanted to have Stephan. So they made an agreement - in the family they called me Steve, but officially they called me Matus, it's written in the Birth Certificat.

I remember my first day in school. When I was leaving home, my mother stopped me in the doors, tellimg me: "But remember Steve, You're not Steve. You're Matus".
Since those days I'm introducing myself as Steve at all unofficial occasions an to my friends, but in school, or at work, I'm always Matus. And When friend of mine meets some of my classmates, they're in doubt who I am at the end.

At the cake at the photo is written "Slovo Matusko" - "The Word Matthew".
