Passing the Time

Different people pass the time in different ways while the bus waits in morning traffic. Some listen to music, others doze on and off between the jolts of the bus checking its brakes after short spurts of forward movement. The gentleman next to me this morning was reading a video game magazine. This wouldn't have been surprising if he was in his teens but his graying hair and wedding ring made me smile. No one's too old for enjoying video games. I pass the time studying my Thai word flash cards, praying for people on the bus, and people watching.
