I haven't seen the Virgin Atlantic building at Heathrow Terminal 3 before and even though I wasn't flying with them, I stopped to take a photo. Unfortunately I just missed the air stewardesses in the foreground bowing to each other.

Taking a photo in this building revealed that though it feels very open and light - presumably because of the very high atrium - and has two sides almost entirely made of glass, it is actually quite dark inside. I suppose this is because much of the glass is heavily tinted to stop the building over-heating in the sunshine.

And I am pleased to report that I was observed taking photos inside and outside of this building by airport security and two Police officers, all of whom had the good sense to look quizzically but not waste their time talking to me or taking my 'details'.
