Pole Dance
Continuation of James and Lynne's leaving do which went on into the wee hours of this morning, when my husband (left) decided to do some pole dancing, which for some bizarre reason involved frequently putting his leg up on this hand rail and looking suggestively at all the 'ladies' on the dancefloor (for they are 'ladies' in inverted commas in Flares of Hinckley!). It was hilarious! Night had a high casualty rate, with Adam (right) banging his bits on the pole and Mike 'slipping' on some beer on the floor whilst doing some over exhuberant dancing which resulted in a trip to the drop in centre this afternoon to diagnose a badly sprained ankle. It only kept him off the dancefloor for about 10 mins, as a few tequilla's helped mask the pain, but he was in agony (both head and ankle) when he woke up on Jame's floor later on this morning. Nurse said he'd be right in four to six weeks time. Luckily it's nothing worse bearing in mind that in six weeks we'll be starting our 10 day trek in Chile!
Bizarre saying bye to someone and saying "See you in a year". Going to miss them lots, but they are going to have such an amazing adventure and I'm already looking forward to their first blog.
Had a very productive afternoon at the yard. Clipped Lime for the first time - he was really calm with the clippers, which meant I got it done in record time and managed a ride through the woods before it got dark. He was full of beans so we had a flat out gallop on the way home, which always brings a smile to my face! Cheese on toast for tea and a long sleep on the sofa. End of a fantastic weekend. And this time in five weeks ....... !!!
