A Haltwhistle Walker

I had such a choice of images from today. I was walking from Rothbury up into the Simonside Hills with the Haltwhistle walkers. We saw ink cap mushrooms, other fungi, great views from the hills, Little Church Rock, and I took photos of several pairs of feet in boots.

I settled for this portrait of B one of our regulars and a key player in the new company that is running the Haltwhistle Walking Festival. He is older than he looks and a very fit walker. He and his wife are just back from a holiday in China and fighting jet lag. B makes wonderful puddings and often sends individual portions for my Mum, knowing that I don't make puddings very often.
