day 2 and crawling
It was Hannah's 2nd day at nursery today and I'd taken the day off so I could take her and pick her up.
she was brilliant when I dropped her off. she showed me where everything was.
coat hook, check. toilet, check. play doh, check. musical instruments, check. etc.
then it was time for me to go. Hannah didn't cry, didn't fuss, she just gave me a hug and waved me off. when I looked back through the window as I left, she just looked very small and just a little lost. She wasn't unhappy, she, just like all the other kids, hasn't made friends yet and is still finding her way around.
when I picked her up she was sat in the playground watching the world wurl around her. I took her to a cafe as a special treat and she told me stories of her day the whole way. she didn't stop. all of them were told with such excitement. i'm certain she's going to love it.
The other news from my day was that for a week or so, Alice has been sort of crawling. that's what I thought. today i really saw what crawling was all about. she was unstoppable. now we have the challenge of keeping the house tidy again.
