Booky reflections.

I really shouldn't have gone into Waterstone's on Sunday. I hadn't intended to buy anything, honest. I just went for a wee look, but there are all these lovely new books out and it's ages since I've had anything all shiny and new and exciting.... In other words I couldn't resist. And yes, I know Mrs D that you could order it and get it for me at half the price, but you know when you see something and you just have to have it right away?! Well I had to have the new Scarlett Thomas book, Our Tragic Universe, and very good it is too.

I have to admit the one thing I really miss about working in a bookshop is the discount and the freebies. Oh but it was good being fiction buyer.... *stares wistfully off into the distance*
However, not even unlimited free bookage would entice me back there now! Harsh but true.

Today's reflection is from Armchair Book's on Westport. Which is where I should have gone for something much cheaper! Ah well....can't say I'm regretting my purchase one little bit :)
