Conkers

There is hardly an evening that goes by without the appearance of a huge spider - usually accompanied by the sound of wee feet running to ask Nick to dispose of the insect through the nearest window. Murron has been known to wake in the night and locate a spider in darkness. I guess it's the time of year. I learnt today that placing a conker in each corner of a room will deter spiders from coming in. In the interests of a quiet evening and a full nights sleep, I reckon it might be worth a go....
