Is it Christmas today?

Had a great walk with Murron and Brammle this afternoon punctuated by 'Is it Christmas today?' 'No.' 'Is it Christmas tomorrow?' And so on. I have tried explaining to her that each time she opens a door on her Advent Calendar Christmas gets a little closer, until finally there are no more doors to open and it's Christmas Day. She seemed to get it, but on our return home Rowan produced some Christmas cards from school. Murron turned to me in an accusing manner and said 'It is Christmas today!'
