Looking back

This is a admittedly rather poor photograph of one of the University's amazing artefacts in the form of the Mingana Collection of manuscripts. The collection consists of 3,000 manuscripts of Christian, Syriac and Islamic religious texts - this one dates from the 12th century. They are totally fabulous, and a very small number are currently on display to the public in the University's Muirhead Tower. Priceless, beautiful, powerful stuff.
