I was hoping for a little bit more time for a couple of final exit pictures but we were surprised this evening by an email advising us that there could potentially be some paying tenants in the flat from tomorrow, doubly surprising as we didn't think the letting agent had completed all the inspections and that the central heating system hadn't yet been refilled and the two recently-reconnected radiators hadn't yet been refilled either and had certainly not had their recently-reconnected pipe-joinings stared at very very closely for several hours whilst the system was running under normal operating pressure in order to be absolutely certain that they'd been reconnected effectively. Upon my arrival I was pleasantly surprised that the boiler was up and running and that there was no sign of anything dripping out of either radiator when I trundled over to replace the tube in the light in the hall, unfortunately finding that what had appeared to be a spare tube in the kitchen drawer turned out to be an old tube, albeit one which worked slightly less not-at-all than either of the two inactive tubes. Hopefully they'll merely be paying from tomorrow and not moving in for a day or two to enable tube-changing and devising a better means of fastening the little panel thing which covers up the hole through which the shower isolation valve without the new tenants noticing.
