Stalking the fly

A drama, played out on an old watering can. The spider, lying flat to the surface waits. A fly lands, it waits for the moment. The fly leaves, then its back. Over and over, sometimes closer. I'm not sure the fly knows it is dicing with death. The spider is very patient, and when it gets within range, pounces, but the fly manages to evade. However - 10s later, and its back again! I guess there isn't a lot of room for memories in a brain that small!
