Whale Watching . . .
This morning himself headed off to work and Ollie and I set off for a spot of whale watching. We found a sheltered little nook on the cliff top and I settled in with my binoculars and camera to watch for them. It was so beautiful, sunny, warm(ish) and the colours were stunning. I could easily have stayed there all day! All the usual suspects were there - gannets, gulls and guillemots, but not a whale in sight! Ollie had a great time although he did get a tad fed up! He kept dashing off and having a run round or going for a swim and then coming back to check I was where he left me - which is what he is doing here!
This afternoon I had various things to do in the town, including picking up my new glasses. They were supposed to be home last Thursday, but then I was told it would by today. When I went in today, the opticians told me that they were only being despatched tomorrow so it would be Thursday before they would be here. I am not at my best when things like this happen! I do know it's not the end of the world, but at the time it is hard to keep things in perspective!
