Angel

24 Sep is "National Heritage Day" in South Africa and a public holiday. Our hospital celebrated the occasion today, encouraging each department to present and represent a different heritage. The nursing staff from our department (Accident and Emergency) dressed up and prepared food from the Zulu culture.

Angel is Zulu and coordinated the entire excercise, instructing everybody what to wear, what food to prepare and also delivering the speech / presentation on Zulu culture and heritage. The presentations were done in the boardroom on the 4th floor of the hospital and was a great success... there were displays from almost every culture in our rainbow nation and a great day was had by all.
