Steaming Diesel

You can just about see the exhaust smoke coming form the ship's funnel in this image.

Its a new docking location, so hopefully shore power will be installed soon. In the meantime its a pity to see the wasted energy literally going up in smoke, although its probably cheaper for Navy to run on diesel than shore based electricity.

Great to see the Navy docked at Dun Laoghaire, we give so little recognition to the men and women who risk their lives to secure our shores.
