Study materials

The dram is The Dalmore, my favourite Scotch. The nuts are for the squirrels and blue jays who come around to mooch. The book is Genesis and Development of a Scientific Fact by Ludwik Fleck (English translation). Interesting but a bit repetitive and while the stuff about facts is interesting, it is based on the history of understanding syphilis as a scientific fact to explore what facts are and how they change. Not my idea of a pleasant Sunday afternoon but I have to read it for one of my courses at York University in Toronto. The bookmark is made from a postcard from the staff union marking Labour Day in Toronto. The image is from around 1910 and made four bookmarks in all.
