Stop and Stare
When I got back to my dorm today I sat down at my desk to start some homework. My desk faces the window and overlooks Missions Bay so it's difficult to not to stop what I'm doing and glance outside now and then. So when I looked up I noticed that the sun was peaking through the branches of this tree which rests behind our building. I always love watching the rays go in and out as the tree sways and though I've tried to capture the affect on my camera it never fares well (one because my camera really isn't the best...or close to it and two because I am CERTAINLY not a photographer). But I thought I'd try to defy the impossible and give it another go. So after taking many pictures of pretty much the same thing I started going through them and realized that this particular one showed the light coming through in the form of a cross. It made me take a moment to really appreciate all God has done for us. The life we live is so wonderful and all the little things make it so: the bays, the trees, the mountains, the sun, and all that jazz...
