I'm still standing
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh how the Schoenhut in the centre resembles a "one". And oh, how the months are creeping away til you'll be two. Why do we busy ourselves saying our baby is 20 months or whatever, when we really should be rejoicing over their ONENESS. And whenever we are asked how old our baby is by another Mama, it is only for one reason, that being to ascertain said competitive Mama's baby's developmental milestones. You see, if my baby looks smaller than hers and he's the same age, is chatting less, is unable to tackle the climbing frame that hovers above us, then the Mama will feel better, she'll walk away with a spring in her step.
Ah, that springs to mind a favourite song, "When you were [one]" - The Killers.
Colds all round and I need to get to opthalmology - very sore eyes after a challenging, tiring week. Fred visiting from Florida tonight having not seen him for 5 years. Wow, so that's how long ago we moved from Fort Lauderdale to LA. Hope we can all get back in good spirits by then. This, another play at my natural light studio shots. I have a passion for late afternoon light as you know, but I enjoyed the coolness of the morning. Lovely night out with Mary and Kristina listening to the DJ sounds despite being an ardent rockaholic. There was little to be said of the sunset though as a thick marine layer descended on the Santa Monica Bay, cloaking the waves below us with its misty haze.
PS Tried a few versions of this, iMac lock due to overwork, so this is it for now. But you wouldn't believe the work I put into this when it was originally in colour, smoothing out my curves no less, or perhaps you would...
