The Back Garden

While I hung out the washing Ollie brought me a selection of toys, bits of knotted rope, bones etc to play with! If you ignore him he very carefully drops them in the laundry basket!

This is the back garden. Not very big, but we got a good supply of veg from it this year. The poor hollyhocks are now horizontal after the gales, but the lavatera and little pink rose bush are still covered in flowers and standing up well. Also still standing are the runner beans - there are still some beans left on them so we'll have them with dinner tonight. As you can just see the onions have been lifted too, really getting into an autumn frame of mind.

After the gales and wild weather of the last week, we now have relative calm and around mid day and early afternoon the sun was actually hot! We had our lunch in the back garden, me with my jeans rolled up to catch the last bit of sunshine my legs will see for a while!
