we went hunting for nibbled nuts today (oo-er, nudge-nudge, wink-wink etc) to help search for evidence of Dormice for a national survey. It was great fun, saw loads more interesting fungi and met a very nice person from the next village - also an exiled English speaking woman, from San Francisco. We hit it off straight away and I hope we can meet up again soon. If I survive being knocked out by a tyre-swing whilst a 6 year old pee's on my head, that is....
