Ingleton holiday, day 1

Terrible weather for our first walking day. The cloud was on the top of our destination, Whernside, and soon the rain came too. There were no views from the top, but we were certainly not alone. Plenty of other (mad) walkers were there. After Northumberland I found the walking here very busy indeed.

Before we started our climb we saw the famous Ribblehead viaduct, seen here with a train crossing, sadly not steam. It is a magnificent piece of engineering.

Looking forward to better weather tomorrow.
