Pelargonium Ardens

There was no choice today. My dearly loved Pelargonium Ardens is about to lose it's last flowers of this season. I want to record it for my Blip today in thanks for a three month long parade of brilliant red colour inside and outside our cabin.

I nurtured it for several years and still couldn't get it to more than half-heartedly bloom. But after being rather uncared for last winter, when I thought the cold gave it no chance of survival, it has shone vividly all summer.

I don't know what made the difference, but I even seem to have possible off-shoots to pot-on. As each new flower opened I thought it can't produce any more, but then another shoot arrived. Tthis final flower is definitely it's last gasp for the year. The plant looks knackered, but it has given us joy. Thank you.
