This was the only pic of today which managed to find its way through cyberspace. To make it a little interesting I gave it a squeeze. The information is great though.

Gave money to Alepha for upkeep. She said she has signed a bond with Government which means her school fees now will be paid. She will now need money for transport for six weeks, and 1200MK/week for her practicals for end of 1st year. We are all happy with the great news.

Went to forestly department to ask about the mahogany trees. The said we can plant mahogany in the Mzuzu area, at a spacing of (5x5)m. They have some seeds and they can source more. The sedlings need to grow for two years and Binna will begin soon, sowing 3000 seedlings.

Bought the galvanised sockets and Benard is welding them.

Tried to pump the water from the well at the health post but the pump could not pump water up. We try to find another solution using smaller pipes. When you come we will fit the solar pump..

The tank at Roadblock is finished. Benedicto uses the pump to irrigate the citruses. He has also applied the fertilizer.

The tailoring course started on Monday at Lusangazi, the instructor is comming everyday to teach ten (10) women. The course will run for 2 weeks thus expected to finish next week friday.

Went to Kazando, met the teachers and committee for the School. The new building will be used from Monday. Charity will provide them with learning materials. They have nothing at the mean time. Two caregivers were trainied by UNICEF but were not awarded with certificates. They get porridge stuff from UNICEF but with no Sugar nor salt, so we will provide some They have 54 learners but they only have 40 plates and 2 cups and 33 spoons. They also have a pot and 2 buckets. We will provide a rocket stove and enough utensils
At Aras Kate, we have about 156 learners all together. We have only registered 40 new learners though they are so many who need to come so we are talking to the chiefs. 15 adult literacy learners are now attending.

Sofos, the planner, with four others visited the place to stop those constructing around the school. Still no news on the pland plans.
Mary, we told him you were coming so I think that will hurry him!
