Beaumont Crescent
Running at a rightangle to Portree Pier along the beach is Beaumont Crescent. The is a photograph from Bosville Terrace looking down upon this short street.
The building at the top of the picture is the original Lock-up or Jailhouse which now is space for offices.
When first I came to Portree this building housed the Portree Tourist Information Centre. Now it houses 'Feis nan Gael' which is a gaelic arts organisation.
The photograph was taken at 0146 hrs this morning before I went to bed. I apologise for the poor quality but the only light was from the street lighting. On a cloudless night and with a moon there is more light available but those nights a something of a rarity at the moment. If one over brightens the photograph a blue cast can be seen.
