The things we do for Blip
The first shot I took was too painful to get anywhere near right. What am I doing? Balancing camera between knees, with timer on, bending over to get my hands in the frame. I resolved that the sofa was the solution, and that's the chair I should be sitting in and that's the book I should be reading....
The last of the staples were removed completely painlessly, but 'God' had spotted me passing his door. I'm sure he realised he was either on for an early lunch or had a private patient to get to. He combined my clinic visit with his consultation, lasting 2 minutes tops, so that I had to twist my head round sideways to talk to him, while they pulled the last out. That helped. Hmm.
Conclusion. I think I'm not supposed to be doing anything. Return in 5 weeks for another X ray. Could write a novel or a symphony in that time, I suppose.
I had a great indulgence afterwards. As I can't reach my toes, Sonia did it for me and did my fingernails aswell. Such luxury to have my feet cared for.
The boys were returned after a rip roaring afternoon at my friend's (and Ben's best mate's mother's) house. They are going again on Sunday at her insistence. Ben made an approving foot inspection, he's always messing with my feet, and tutting at them in their normal disarray.
Mrs P is recovering in Ormskirk general. All seems to be fine after removal of her pins this morning, despite another display of her amazing blood pressure drops immediately afterwards. Evidently not the codeine as suspected last time then. She's home tomorrow. I must order her a pedicure too.
