Visiting the mothership

Spent today at JANET(UK)'s HQ near didcot. I spend the day there about once a month - and considering I spent about 80% of my time working for them at the moment that doesn't seem like all that much. The wonders of modern technology!

This evening I've been visiting and am staying with an old school friend in oxford that I haven't seen in 4 years... So we've had a nice catch up and, given that she's also a PhD, the obligatory discussion about the fact that they're absolute hell and you'd have to be certifiable to do one.
