On the above date Victor Ward (Oldeng) aged 16yrs joined the "Royal Ar Force" as a Boy Entrant to serve his Queen and country in the following postings:

RAF Seletar - Singapore, (18 months of partying)
RAF Kuantan - East Coast of Malaysia, (5 months jungle detachment)
RAF Gan - Maldives, (1 year island paradise)
RAF Akrotiri - Cyprus, (3 years honeymoon and holiday)

Not to mention the boring postings in the UK.
