The bird has flown --

I have inherited these lovely gilded bird cages, complete with butterflies not birds, in my new classroom.

I have tried several times to take a good blip of them but I think this is about the best I am going to get. There are just too many other distracting items in the room, plus not very good lighting and what there is is from big ugly strip lights.

The natural lighting is restricted by the blinds which are essential as I am on the ground floor on a main thoroughfare.

Anyway I like them (there are six suspended from the ceiling). They were made last year in an art workshop with our 'New to English' students.

So thank you very much to them and whoever decided to leave them - I am enjoying seeing them everyday!
