Young girl at the Wellington Writers' Walk

I was taking photos at Wellington Writers' Walk. A family arrived, and a young child wandered over and stood by the slab.

"Don't disturb the photographer," the girl's mother said. "Come away." Clearly, she didn't realize that people make shots.

The Writer's Walk traverses Wellington harbour's waterfront. Along the walk, extracts from poems and prose by well known Wellington writers and poets are cast on concrete slabs.

The poem featured on this slab is an extract from Katherine Mansfield's poem "The wind blows".
