Went with Tim and his mum to Bramshill House for the afternoon, opened as part of the Heritage Weekend. It's an old 17th century mansion that was bought by the Home Office in the 1950s and now houses a police training centre. They've been doing a lot of restoration work recently, and are apparently hoping to win an award for their repointed brickwork. I bet you didn't know that such awards exist.
